Yes! Each event can have its own custom accent color and Font Awesome icon. When adding or editing an event, you can choose from 8 preset colors (or use the color picker for any custom shade) and select from 10 popular icons. The color appears on the event card's left border and the timeline node, making it easy to color-code different categories or themes.

Yes! All your timeline events are automatically saved to your browser's localStorage. When you return to this page, your timeline will be restored exactly as you left it — including event details, colors, icons, layout preference, and zoom level. Note that clearing your browser cache or using private/incognito mode will remove saved data. For important timelines, we recommend exporting as PNG or PDF.

The zoom slider in the toolbar adjusts the spacing between events on the timeline. Increasing the zoom (moving right) expands the space between event nodes, making each card more readable — useful for timelines with detailed descriptions. Decreasing the zoom (moving left) compresses the spacing, allowing you to see more events at once on screen. This is especially helpful when you have many events and want to get an overview. The zoom range is 60% to 220% of the default spacing.
