Frequently Asked Questions

What is a seamless video loop?
A seamless video loop is a video clip that repeats continuously without any noticeable jump or break at the transition point. This is achieved by carefully choosing start and end frames that match visually, or by using techniques like crossfade transitions and ping-pong (back-and-forth) looping to create smooth, natural-looking repetitions.
What is Ping-Pong loop mode?
Ping-Pong mode (also called "bounce" or "palindrome" loop) plays the video forward, then reverses it backward, then forward again — alternating directions. This creates an inherently smoother loop because the motion naturally flows back and forth, making it ideal for things like swaying objects, dance moves, waves, or any repetitive motion.
How does crossfade improve my loop?
Crossfade blends the end of the loop with the beginning by gradually fading out the last few frames while simultaneously fading in the first few frames. This overlap creates a smooth, invisible transition at the loop point, effectively hiding any abrupt jump. A crossfade duration of 0.3–1.0 seconds works well for most clips.
Which video formats are supported?
This tool supports MP4, WebM, MOV, and AVI video formats for upload. The exported loop video is saved in WebM format (VP9 codec) for optimal quality and compatibility. Most modern browsers, video players, and social media platforms support WebM. Files up to 500MB can be processed.
Is my video uploaded to any server?
No. All processing happens entirely within your browser using client-side technologies (HTML5 Canvas, MediaRecorder API). Your video never leaves your device. This ensures complete privacy and security — no uploads, no servers, no data collection.
What are common use cases for looped videos?
Looped videos are widely used for: social media content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Twitter), website backgrounds, digital signage, presentations, music visualizers, GIF alternatives (higher quality and smaller file size), meditation and ambient scenes, product showcases, and creative art projects. They're also great for creating satisfying "perfect loop" content.
Why does the exported video have no audio?
The export process uses the browser's Canvas API to render video frames, which captures only the visual output. Audio tracks are not included in the exported file. For projects requiring audio, we recommend using a desktop video editor to combine the exported loop video with a separately prepared audio loop track for the best results.
