Simply select your trip type (beach, business, ski, camping, etc.), set the number of days and expected weather, and the tool instantly generates a categorized packing checklist. You can check off items as you pack, add custom items, filter by category, and print or copy your list.
What trip types are supported?
We support 8 popular trip types: Beach Vacation, Business Trip, Ski Trip, Camping, City Sightseeing, Backpacking, Family Trip, and Cruise. Each type has a tailored checklist with category-specific items relevant to that style of travel.
Can I add my own items to the packing list?
Yes! You can add custom items to any category using the "Add Custom Item" section. Custom items can be marked as Essential, Recommended, or Optional, and you can remove them at any time by clicking the × button next to the item.
Does the checklist adjust based on trip duration?
Yes. The suggested quantities for items like clothing, socks, and toiletries automatically adjust based on the number of days you set. Longer trips will suggest higher quantities, and for trips over 14 days, laundry considerations are noted.
How does weather affect the packing list?
Weather conditions influence which items appear on your list. For example, cold weather adds warm layers, gloves, and thermal items, while hot weather emphasizes sun protection and lightweight clothing. Select Warm, Mild, or Cold to see tailored recommendations.
Can I print my packing checklist?
Absolutely! Click the "Print" button to get a clean, printer-friendly version of your checklist. The print layout hides all buttons and UI elements, showing only your packing items organized by category with checkboxes.
Is my packing list saved for later?
The tool runs entirely in your browser. While we don't store your data on servers, you can use the "Copy" button to copy your list as formatted text and paste it into any notes app, or print it as a PDF using your browser's print function for safekeeping.
What are the Essential, Recommended, and Optional labels?
These labels help prioritize your packing. Essential items (red badge) are must-haves you shouldn't travel without. Recommended items (orange badge) are strongly suggested. Optional items (blue badge) are nice-to-haves depending on personal preference.
