An Image Strip Joiner is an online tool that lets you combine multiple images into a single strip — either placed side by side horizontally or stacked vertically. It's perfect for creating comparison images, product showcases, comic strips, before-and-after visuals, screenshot collages, and panoramic-style compositions without needing any design software.
Simply drag and drop your images into the upload area (or click to browse), arrange them in your desired order by dragging thumbnails, choose "Horizontal" direction, adjust spacing and alignment if needed, then click "Download Combined Image." The entire process happens locally in your browser — no files are ever uploaded to any server.
Yes! Use the "Direction" dropdown to switch between Horizontal (side by side) and Vertical (stack) modes. Vertical mode is great for creating scrolling infographics, recipe steps, timeline sequences, or mobile-friendly content where images are stacked top to bottom.
The tool supports all common image formats including PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and even some SVG files. For output, you can choose between PNG (lossless, preserves transparency) and JPEG (smaller file size, ideal for photos). The recommended input formats are PNG and JPEG for best results.
There's no hard limit on the number of images, but for performance reasons we recommend keeping it under 50 images at a time. Very large images (over 4000px per side) may be automatically scaled down to ensure smooth processing. The total combined dimensions should stay within browser canvas limits (typically around 16,384 pixels).
Images are processed at their original resolution using the browser's Canvas API. When you choose PNG output, the result is lossless. For JPEG output, a high quality setting (92%) is used by default. You can also adjust the background color to fill any gaps created by alignment differences, ensuring a clean, professional-looking result.
Absolutely! Use the spacing slider (0–80 pixels) to set the gap between images. Quick preset buttons (0, 5, 10, 20, 40px) let you jump to common values instantly. The background color you choose fills the gap area, so you can create colored dividers between images for a distinctive look.
Yes, this tool is completely free with no registration required. All image processing happens directly in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your images never leave your device, ensuring maximum privacy and security. No watermarks are added, and there are no usage restrictions.
Yes! The tool is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. On mobile, you can tap to upload images from your photo library, use the move buttons on each thumbnail to reorder, and all settings adjust to fit smaller screens. The download works perfectly on both iOS and Android devices.
When enabled, the Uniform Size option scales all images to match the same height (in horizontal mode) or the same width (in vertical mode), using the largest image as the reference. This creates a perfectly aligned strip even when your source images have different dimensions — great for product catalogs, portfolio strips, or any project requiring visual consistency.
Yes! You can drag and drop the thumbnail cards to rearrange them in any order (on desktop). On mobile devices, use the small arrow buttons that appear on each thumbnail to move images left or right. The preview updates automatically to reflect the new order.
Your privacy is guaranteed. All image processing is performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript — no images are ever sent to any remote server. The tool works offline once loaded, and your files remain securely on your own device throughout the entire process.
